This eyewitness report came from the Hamsain family, a leader of the Sabah Tausug community living in Semporna, Sabah.

Another witness is Datu Maulana Jhularab Abdulkadir of Lamitan City, Basilan, Philippines, a religious leader, Shariah lawyer, Regional chairman Muslim Congress of the Philippines, Regional coordinator Ulama League of the Philippines, Region 9 and Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) chairman of Citizens Crime Watch who stated that Ismail and his son Bahang are the originators of this Ismail cards scam. Datu Maulana commented further that the Ismail ID cards scheme is un-Islamic and haram.

Datu Albi Julkranain of Zamboanga City, Philippines, Council of Royal Datus chairman, who just came back from his 28 day Sabah and other parts of Malaysia trip, commented that during his talks with Sabah Tausugs that he advised them not to believe the lies of Ismail and his group and not to use the Ismail ID cards because only harm can come to them. Indeed many are harmed by the use of the Ismail ID cards.

Since 2008, Esmail, a usurper and fake sultan who was formerly named Ismail, aided by some misguided supporters had been distributing and selling worthless I.D. cards to unsuspecting people in Sulu and Sabah on Ismail’s shady money-making exercise.

In Sulu, the identity cards were sold for P100 and other amounts while in Sabah they were sold for 50 Malaysian dollars and higher.

Ismail and his group promised that the buyers and bearers of the I.D. cards signed by Ismail as sultan would provide the buyers security from any intimidation or arrest from the Malaysian authorities or the Malaysian police.

Those poor victims from Sulu found out to their horror and peril that when they set foot on Sabah, they were arrested and deported by presenting the worthless I.D. cards sold by Ismail without travel documents.

In Sabah, worst fate happened to the buyers of the Ismail I.D. cards as they were also arrested and imprisoned for some time.

The Sabah authorities made it clear that the I.D. cards bearing the signatures of Ismail calling himself a sultan are not recognized in Sabah and Ismail is not recognized as sultan.

The Sabah Tausugs are horrified that a so-called sultan namely Ismail would run a scheme and stooped so low to profit and make money from the miseries of the Tausug people, his own kind, -- as Ismail is also a Tausug.

The Sabah Tausugs also complained that Ismail and his group, each time they went to Sabah using his false claims as sultan, would ask money and donations from the already burdened Tausug people in Semporna, Sabah and other districts; thus, the Tausug community declared that Ismail and his group are not welcomed.

The Tausugs feel that Ismail cannot be true sultan as he uses only his title as sultan to make money for himself and not to put the interest and welfare of the Tausugs first.

Ismail and his group are regarded and seen as grovelling mendicants and paupers that further demean Ismail, his family and his group. They are declared "persona non grata."

Like beggars with caps begging on hands Ismail and his group are treated and looked at with revulsion and disdain by the Tausugs.

Imagine Ismail claiming to be their sultan but he is the one who feeds on their pain as Ismail makes his ill gotten money built on the tears and miseries of the Tausug people. The Sultan is the protector of his people NOT a mastermind of financial cards scam as Ismail.

The Ismail’s worthless I.D. cards masterminded by Ismail and the realization by the Sabah Tausugs that Ismail is not the Sultan as he is not the son of HM Sultan Esmail E. Kiram I caused a mass withdrawal of support and withdrawal of recognition to Ismail from the Sabah Tausugs.

In fact, many Panglimas (Governors) appointed by Ismail and who supported Ismail WITHDREW their support to Ismail – and these Sabah Panglimas NOW RECOGNIZE AND SUPPORT HM Sultan Muhammad Fuad A. Kiram I, The Sultan of Sulu & The Sultan of Sabah.

Lastly, the much touted and advertised so-called office of Ismail in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, will not be opened as the Sabah Chinese supporter of Ismail also withdrew his financial support for the running and expenses of the Ismail’s Kota Kinabalu office due to his realization that Ismail is a usurper and fake sultan and is now regarded by the Sabah Tausugs like a leper and like the plague.

The Semporna, Sabah Tausugs disdain and shun Ismail and his family coupled with his group and are no longer welcomed.

Ismail may say he did not promise any security benefits from the use of the Ismail’s worthless I.D. cards but the buyers stated they were promised by Ismail and his group.

The public is warned, most particularly the Tausug community, not to buy the Ismail ID cards for they are worthless and of no value and are not recognized by the Malaysian authorities.
